How Do Heated Socks Actually Work?

Heated socks use thin, flexible heating panels built directly into the fabric, usually positioned under and over the toes where cold hits hardest. Stored in a low-profile zippered pocket at the calf, a small rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers those panels and lets you toggle between heat settings via a button on the sock or in the MW Connect Bluetooth app on your phone.

How Long Do Heated Socks Stay Warm on a Single Charge?

It depends on which heat setting you're using and which Fieldsheer model you choose. On the lowest setting, you can get anywhere from 9 to 13+ hours of continuous warmth per charge. That’s more than enough for a full day of skiing, a long sit in a hunting blind, or an outdoor work shift. 

Running at the highest setting (up to 135°F) uses more power and brings that time down to around 4 hours, but most people find that a medium setting is plenty for staying comfortable without draining the battery too fast.
