How Do I Know Which Battery Is Compatible with My Heated Gear?

Every piece of gear in our lineup is matched to a specific battery voltage:

• Heated jackets and vests: 7.4V Powersheer battery (the XL Plus version gives you the longest runtime and doubles as a phone power bank)
• Heated baselayers: 7.4V Powersheer battery, same as jackets and vests
• Heated gloves: 7.4V split-pack battery, designed to sit flush in the glove cuff without bulk
• Heated socks: 3.7V battery, compact and lightweight for a clean fit inside your boot

How Long Does a Battery Last, and How Do I Charge It?

Heat time depends on battery size and heat setting, but you can generally expect several hours of warmth per charge. The Powersheer XL Plus delivers up to 12 hours of heat on a single charge, with a runtime ranging from 3 hours on high to 12 hours on low. That's enough to get through a full workday, a long hunt, or an all-day ride without touching a charger. 

Charging is simple: Most batteries use Micro USB, so any universal Micro USB charger (or the one included with your gear) works from a wall outlet, car outlet, or USB port. When the charger light turns green, you're fully charged and ready to head out. 

To get the most out of your battery over the long term, avoid letting it drain completely and charge it every three months during the off-season to keep it healthy.

Do Fieldsheer Batteries Work with Other Heated Clothing Brands?

Our batteries are engineered specifically for Mobile Warming apparel and are not cross-compatible with other brands. Using a third-party battery with your Fieldsheer gear, or using our batteries with another brand, can affect performance and may void your warranty. If you picked up a piece of gear from another heated clothing brand, check with that manufacturer for their recommended power source.
