What battery does my heated gear use?

Most heated clothing runs on the 7.4-volt Powersheer battery, including heated jackets, vests, base layers, and heated gloves. Heated socks and insoles use a smaller 3.7-volt pack. Check the product page if you are buying a spare, so you get the right one.

How long do the batteries last?

A 7.4-volt jacket runs up to 13 hours on low and about 2 to 3 on high, gloves reach about 8 hours, and 3.7-volt socks run up to 11 hours. Lower settings always stretch a charge further. How long the batteries last depends on the piece and the heat setting.

How do you charge and store them?

Charge with the included charger, which fills most 7.4-volt packs in about 4 to 5 hours and the smaller 3.7-volt packs in about 5 to 6. Store them at room temperature, out of extreme heat or cold, and top them off every few weeks in the off-season. Never leave a battery fully drained for long.

      Are the batteries interchangeable?

Within the 7.4-volt line, yes: jackets, vests, base layers, and gloves share the same Powersheer packs, though gloves use two, one per hand. Socks and insoles use their own smaller 3.7-volt battery, so a jacket pack will not fit them. Always match the voltage before swapping a battery between pieces.
