MEYER SHANK RACING & FIELDSHEER
Fieldsheer Apparel Technologies & Meyer Shank Racing
“Technical performance is of prime importance in auto racing, especially at the level at which Meyer Shank competes,”
We are excited to announce that Fieldsheer has partnered with Meyer Shank Racing to provide cooling and heated performance activewear. As the official cooling and heated apparel partner of Meyer Shank Racing. Fieldsheer will provide all members of the Meyer Shank team with clothing from both its Mobile Warming and Mobile Cooling lines. The apparel will be worn by all team members while performing their respective job-related tasks (except driving). Depending on the temperature, either Mobile Warming or Mobile Cooling apparel will be worn during practice, race prep, and many other race-related activities.
The unpredictability of weather conditions at the various race locations necessitates access to both lines. Summer races in warmer locales will put Mobile Cooling apparel to the test. But early morning practice runs in certain spots could require the comforting heat of Mobile Warming. Even the Indianapolis 500, generally run under balmy conditions, has had its share of unseasonably cold temperatures, including a low of 37 degrees in 1947.
Fieldsheer is proud of our association with the performance professionals at MSR!
About Meyer Shank Racing
Mike Shank first started racing professionally in 1989, and quickly made a name for himself, earning notice as the SCCA-Ohio Valley Region Novice Driver of the Year. He didn’t lose any momentum as he moved up the ladder, taking the 1996 Toyota Atlantic C2 Championship before moving up to race in the Indy Racing League.
As he gained winning experience in the car, he put that knowledge to work as his team expanded to run other drivers and Shank eventually retired as a driver to focus on running and growing his team.
Jim Meyer joined Michael Shank Racing in April of 2017 serving as co-owner of the newly re-branded, Meyer Shank Racing. Meyer has a true passion for Motorsports and is now an integral park of the MSR operation, attending every race that he can. As a resident of Indianapolis, Meyer has regularly attended the Indianapolis 500 for decades and has always dreamed of becoming a part of the sport.
